We are very keen to hear from those developing IVDs and non-IVD diagnostic technologies which have clinical relevance for community healthcare services ranging from community nursing and midwifery, to general practice and acute ambulatory settings. We can advise on the clinical feasibility and potential utility of innovations and outline the evidence-base needed to support implementation.
We can also help you:
- design or refine the design of a technology through feedback from clinically relevant panels of experts
- develop and guide the direction of development of devices through the provision of up to date evidence and opinion
- pragmatically evaluate the performance of diagnostics in clinically relevant settings and go beyond simple metrics such as diagnostic accuracy
- work with our strategic partners to implement your diagnostic test in community settings to carry out system level evaluations at a regional level
- understand diagnostic needs and evaluation by providing training through our courses and workshops
Please contact Dr Philip Turner, the Manager of the NIHR Community Healthcare MIC, if you have a technology you would like to discuss with us further, or if you would like to explore how you can work with us in the future.
