Director of Graduate Entry Medicine

  • General Practitioner
  • Fellow of St Edmund Hall

I am a practicing GP and also Director of Graduate Entry Medical Studies within the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences supported by an Associate Director and two Deputy Directors. I have overall responsibility for the University's 4-year Graduate-entry course.

My role is largely focussed on medical education although alongside this my research interests are both  within medical education and cardiovascular disease. I have a keen interest in supervision and mentoring of students and trainees both clinical and academic.

I also teach and supervise students on the Masters in Medical Education run by the Department of Education

At St Edmund Hall as Fellow by Special Election I organise and supervise the clinical education for the clinical students.

Outside of the University, I act as external examiner at a number of other institutions in the UK and also undertake work with the RCGP.
