The NIHR Diagnostic Evidence Co-operative (DEC) Oxford two day course on diagnostic test development, evaluation and regulation with speakers from MHRA, NOCRI, NICE and Oxford University.
This course is aimed at all professionals working on diagnostic tests including people working in industry, academia, funding and regulation. During these two days we will provide you with the latest information on what evidence is needed to obtain regulatory approval, how NICE evaluates new diagnostic technology and how to collect evidence to support adoption in routine clinical practice. In addition we will teach you about different study designs including quality assessment and where to look for funding opportunities.
The course combines talks with hands-on activities. To stimulate interactive discussions and maximise the learning experience the number of places for this course are limited to 25.

Accommodation
Accommodation for the night of Thursday 1st October is included in the price of the workshop. If you would like to stay on Wednesday 30th September (the night before the workshop) there are very limited numbers of single, en-suite rooms available in Worcester college. Travel
There is no parking available at Worcester College. The nearest car-park is on Worcester Street, but gets full very quickly and is very expensive. The best option if you are driving is to use the Park and Ride system.
Oxford Railway station is a 10 minute walk from Worcester College. The coach/bus station is situated at Gloucester Green, only 5 minutes away.
